Weekly Quiz: a quiz taking place on 1st May 2025, 8th May 2025, 15th May 2025 or 22nd May 2025 at 8:00pm at a participating pub.

Any entry Criteria: For a chance to win the Main Prize, enter each of the four Weekly Quizzes on the dates set out above and the player with the cumulative best score across all participating pubs at the end of the month will win the Main Prize. You must be 18 or over and have access to a mobile device to register your details via the QR code hosted by our partner, Kwizzbit in a participating pub. You must submit a valid entry for each of the four Weekly Quizzes. A tie breaker may apply in the case of a draw.

The Promoter

The Promoter is Marston’s PLC (company number 00031461) with its registered office at St Johns House, St Johns Square, Wolverhampton WV2 4BH (the “Promoter“).

This promotion is run in conjunction with Rocket Horse Limited t/a KwizzBit (“Partner”).

Entry Requirements

This promotion is open to residents of the United Kingdom (excluding Northern Ireland), aged 18 or over. Employees/directors of the Promoter and/or Partner and such employees/directors’ immediate families/households or anyone else professionally involved with this promotion shall be excluded from the draw to win the Main Prize.

This is an online promotion. Internet access and access to a mobile device is required to participate.

Prospective entrants must scan the QR code (hosted by our Partner) in the participating pub and register their details on the dedicated quiz app (“App”) to play prior to 8:00pm on the date of the relevant Weekly Quiz. Entrants must not provide any false information when registering on the App. All entrants are responsible for keeping their account and login details secure and for all activity on the App. The Promoter and/or the Partner may refuse, remove, or suspend registration at any time

Entrants will be asked to choose a username which will appear on the leaderboard (the “Leaderboard Name”). Leaderboard Names must not include anything that (in the Promoter’s and/or Partner’s opinion) is inappropriate, defamatory, offensive or unlawful. Any Leaderboard Names or account activity which is contrary to these terms and conditions, may result in the account being deleted, and all entries and future activity being cancelled, without liability to the entrant.

In the event that entrants enter the promotion as part of a team, the individual who registers their details via the QR code will be considered the entrant for the purposes of this promotion. The Promoter shall have no liability to any of the members of the entrant’s team who do not register on the App. In the event the entrant wins a prize, once the Promoter has fulfilled its obligations to the entrant, the Promoter shall have no responsibility or liability to any of the entrants team. Any agreement regarding a prize share amongst team members is the entrant’s sole responsibility.

There is no purchase necessary to enter the quiz.

Any entries which have been submitted using scripts, automated systems, collaborative practices or via a third party for commercial gain will be deemed invalid.

Entrants may only enter the promotion, for personal non-commercial use only.

The Prizes

Prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable and no cash equivalent is available.

Whilst the Promoter will make every effort to honour the advertised prize(s), the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to substitute any prize with an alternative of a similar value if circumstances dictate this.

Competition Winners

Main Prize:

As soon as possible after the final Weekly Quiz (i.e. on or after 22nd May 2025) either the winner of the Main Prize will be notified by the Promoter or, in the event of a draw, all entrants with the same score will be contacted to participate in a tie break. All contact will be via email using the email address provided by the entrant when registering for the App.

The Promoter will take all reasonable steps to make contact as set out above, but if there is no response within 3 days, or the contact details are invalid, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel the entrants entry, and re-allocate the Main Prize to the next best score (or if applicable remove them from the tie breaker) without liability to the first winner/entrant. The Promoters decision will be final in this respect.

The Main Prize will be provided a cheque.

If requested to do so by the Promoter, the Main Prize winner shall attend a publicity event at the Promoter’s Head Office in Wolverhampton (or other venue notified to the winner by the Promoter) during w/c 2nd June 2025 (date to be confirmed) to take part in a photo shoot in relation to this promotion.

Where the winner attends the publicity event described above, the Promoter shall reimburse up to £100 of travel costs, subject to receipt of satisfactory receipts.

The winner will be responsible for all other incidental costs connected to the prize or any photo shoot, including any additional travel costs, parking and sustenance.

Weekly Prize(s):

At the end of each Weekly Quiz, the entrant with the best score (as calculated by the Partner) in each participating pub will win a Weekly Prize.

The Weekly Prize shall usually be provided to the winner in pub after conclusion of the relevant quiz, but if circumstances dictate or no vouchers are available, this will be provided to the winner within 14 days of the quiz taking place.

Data Protection and Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. We will only process the personal data you provide in connection with this promotion to administer your entry and/or as otherwise required by law. In accordance with the current guidelines that govern promotions in the UK, if you are a main prize winner, we may publish, or make available on request, information that confirms an award took place – that is your surname, county and, if applicable, the entry itself. If you are a main prize winner, as set out in clause 16d we may ask you to take part in publicity, either in person and/or on third-party social media platforms or our website. In connection therewith, you understand that the Promoter may publish your name, your nearest geographical location (for example, your nearest city or town) and the pub(s) where you participated in the promotion, and the Promoter may refer to your association with the promotion and/or the Main Prize, in any and all media, worldwide, in perpetuity, for publicity and public relations purposes solely in connection with the promotion. Limits on the Promoter’s responsibilities and Indemnities

Save as set out in clause 16e Winners agree to be fully responsible for any personal or incidental expenses and/or tax liabilities incurred in claiming and using the prizes. The Promoter will not be responsible for any loss or injury resulting from entry into the promotion, including if the entrant elects to participate as part of a team as set out in clause 8 or a winner’s acceptance and/or use of the prize.

The Promoter will not be responsible for losses, failures or delays relating to circumstances beyond its reasonable control including (but not limited to) acts of God, war, strikes, disputes, third party website (including the App) or platforms not in its direct control, or the acts or defaults of any supplier of the prizes.

The Promoter will not be responsible for any damage, loss or injury to an entrant that is not reasonably foreseeable. The Promoter’s responsibility for any damage, loss or injury to an entrant under these terms and conditions or otherwise in connection with the promotion shall be limited to the value of the prize won by the entrant.

The Promoter will not be responsible for technical, hardware or software failures, lost, faulty or unavailable network connections or difficulties of any kind that may limit or prohibit entrants’ ability to register with the App or participate in the promotion. The Promoter does not guarantee that the promotion will be operational on any specific device or system or that the App will be error free or available all the time.

The Promoter will be liable for any death or personal injury arising from its negligence. Nothing in these terms and conditions will exclude that liability or any other liability, which it is not lawful to exclude.

Each entrant will indemnify (and will keep indemnified) the Promoter and its affiliates against all costs, claims, losses, damages, expenses (including legal expenses) or other liability arising as a result of a breach of these terms and conditions (including any claim by a member of the entrant’s group) negligence or any other action which imposes an unreasonable burden on the Website including (but not limited to) the use of software robots.

General

By entering, entrants agree to these terms and conditions together with the other polices on the Website, including the terms of use.

The decision of the Promoter is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Subject to clause 20, the name and county of the main prize winners can be obtained for up to 6 months following the closing date by sending a self-addressed envelope to the Promoter’s address set out above citing the name of the promotion.

The Promoter reserves the right to eliminate or disqualify any entries or entrants who the Promoter has reasonable grounds for believing are in breach of these conditions.

The Website and App may contain links to other websites, including those belonging to the Promoter’s partners. These links are provided for convenience and are not under the control of the Promoter and as such we make no warranty, either expressed or implied, concerning the content of such sites including claims of infringement or that such sites are devoid of viruses or error free.

The Promoter reserves the right to cancel the prize draw or amend these terms and conditions without prior notice at any time, for whatever reason, and without liability to any entrants for doing so. Please check these terms and conditions regularly as any changes are effective immediately upon posting to the Website.

The rights and remedies of the Promoter under these terms and conditions are without prejudice to its rights under the law. These terms and conditions shall not create any rights or benefits enforceable by any third party by virtue of the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.

These terms and conditions are made under English law. Any dispute or claim that an entrant or the Promoter brings in relation to or in connection with these terms and conditions or the promotion will be decided on the basis of English law by the English courts alone.
